What was the driving force behind the development of the M21?
The IDF recognized that young soldiers might forget to keep batteries fresh in traditional illuminated reflex sights. To address this challenge, Meprolight® developed the Mepro M21, a dual-powered sight that uses fiber optics to gather ambient light during the day and tritium for low-light or total darkness conditions.
One of the major benefits of red dot sights (RDS) like the Meprolight Mepro M21 is their complete lack of parallax, an unlimited field of view, and the ability to maintain the shooter’s situational awareness. Moreover, the M21 features a large 30mm display designed for use with both eyes open, making it ideal for rapid target acquisition and accurate shooting in close-quarter combat.
In addition, the M21 is self-powered and always ready—never requiring batteries. Instead, it combines fiber optic technology with a Swiss-processed tritium power source to produce a luminous, automatically adjusted reticle. Can You Use Magnifiers With The M21?

Weighing just over eight ounces, and adjustable for both elevation and windage, the magnifier brings the optic out to far beyond close-up usage, with more versatility than just a lensed optic. Mepro magnifiers mount behind your red dot sight with a minimal footprint on the Picatinny rail. They use an easy throw-over mount that stays ready for quick use.
How Hard Is It To Zero The M21?

I used a clear bike reflector on a tree 90 feet from my workbench as a target. Then, I used a laser boresight device to align the laser dot with the sight’s reticle.
